Happy hump day everybody! Only a couple long days till the weekend!

How adorable are those Steve Madden wedges? I need these in my closet! My resolution this year was to stop buying so many shoes but I think I've already accumulated five pairs - and these may be my next victims. I'm also loving that hot pink dress from Topshop. Its the perfect color for summer and is so flattering.

 I found one of my new favorite online jewelry shops, BaubleBar. They  have such cute, affordable jewels and every Monday they debut a new trend. You definitely need to check out the website! Also how amazing are the Rachel Roy heels?! Ever since I saw Aimee Song wearing them I've been dying to get my hands on them, unfortunately the price tag is a wee high!

Everyday Makeup Routine

My everyday makeup routine is pretty simple...I rarely ever wear eyeshadow or eyeliner to work, just a fresh looking face (except Mondays)! I always start with NARS oil free primer - it minimizes pores, fine lines and wrinkles. Under-eye concealer is a must! It brightens the area around your eyes and helps you look awake. Next is foundation, I recommend Laura Mercier silk creme foundation, it has a dewy finish. My favorite drug-store foundation is Maybelline Fit Me, its very natural looking.

ALWAYS use setting powder - it gives your face a flawless finish and makes your skin look luminous in any light. This is definitely one of my favorite products, every girl should have this in their makeup bag! I use NARS Laguna bronzing powder on the bridge of my nose and dust a little on my hairline and jawline. Next I put a little blush on the apples of my cheeks - I'm a NARS snob (see Insagram picture to the right). My favorites are Lovejoy, Gilda, Orgasm and Sex Appeal. After that I apply mascara and eye primer (lightens my eyes) then throw on some tinted lip balm and I'm done! That's my easy makeup routine that only takes about ten minutes!

On My Shopping List

Just a few things I'm loving lately! How cute are the Rebecca Minkoff sandals? They are also available in lime green and tan...definitely on my wish list! I've had my eye on (no pun intended) these Gucci sunglasses for quite some time now...I think it's about time to pull the trigger. They will be perfect for my trip to Miami!

Beauty Wants

I've really been slacking in the makeup and beauty department lately...I really need to start changing up my makeup routine. The only thing I will switch up is my blush, which isn't too exciting! I love the hot pink Nars blush...it would look great with soft eye-makeup and a light nude lip. I've also heard so much about BB cream...Smashbox camera ready is one of the best sellers at Sephora and has great reviews. Might be my next purchase!

What's in my Make-up Bag?

Happy election day! Hope everyone gets to the polls and votes!

I've done a 'What's in my bag' post so I thought I would also show you guys whats in my make-up bag! You will see I have a major slight obsession with NARS...

Let me start with the blush...Orgasm, Outlaw, Gilda, Sex Appeal and Torrid...they are all great colors! In my opinion NARS makes some of the best quality blush, it blends well, has great color and it lasts all day. 

Orgasm - A shimmery peachy-pink...you do not need a lot as its very pigmented!

Outlaw - It's a medium-dark raspberry pink with a dusty golden shimmer. It seems like a shade that would work well on a variety of complexions.

Gilda - An orange-coral and a matte finish. It's my favorite out of them all!

Sex Appeal - A pale pink that really highlights your cheekbones! I usually mix this with the other colors.

Torrid - A warm coral that is less pigmented then Orgasm and Outlaw. It has flecks of gold shimmer but its hardly noticeable, only when it catches light. 

On my NARS blush wish-list...Love Joy, Exhibit A and Seashell pink!

I go back and fourth between NARS foundation and Maybelline Fit Me foundation. The pros are it has SPF 18, great coverage, it leaves a dewy finish and its inexpensive!

I usually don't wear eyeshadow everyday...I just swipe some MAC primer on and eyeliner (navy blue or black) but I do wear it when I go out. I love the Bobbi Brown smokey eye pallet! The NARS duo eyeshadow Alhambra is also great - Metallic Rose Mist / Golden Champagne. It really highlights your eyes and is long lasting!

I've tried a lot of mascara's but I always find myself coming back to Maybelline Great Lash. It's inexpensive, doesn't clump, separates lashes and lengthens. I think it works well for the price.

1. 100 calorie pack of almonds. When I get hungry, I get cranky!

3. H&M umbrella, they have so many cute ones - however its not very sturdy...I'm usually fighting the Chicago wind to keep it from blowing inside out!

5. Nars Laguna bronzer...simply the best!

6. My planner and notebook, I would seriously be lost without these. I love making to-do lists! I don't think i'll ever use my iPhone for lists, crossing things off your list is too great of a feeling!

7. Orbit gum...definitely an essential

8. Oil-absorbing sheets, theses are great for when you're on the go and need to freshen up!

9. Victoria's Secret lip gloss 'Innocent' my everyday color

10. YSL lip stain...this is great but a little pricey! My new favorite lip stain is.....

11. Revlon Just Bitten lip stain 'Charm Charme' like I said in my last post, it goes on like lip balm!

12. Burts' Bees Honeysuckle tinted lip balm...can you tell I'm obsessed with lip gloss??

13. Clinique mini mascara

14. Motrin IB...its a great day if I leave work without a headache! Staring at a screen all day is not easy on the eyes!

And the bag is Tory Burch (also a gift from my great boyfriend!)...I need a big bag for work since I bring my lunch and a pair of heels to work everyday! And this picture made me realize how bad it needs to get cleaned!

Can't Live Without...

1. Clarisonic Mia - It's pricey but totally worth it. My skin is cleaner, smoother and brighter and it really minimizes your pores! It is worth it in the long run!

2. Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna - It has a golden shimmer that gives your skin a healthy glow! 

3. Moroccan Oil - My hair is curly, thick, frizzy and dry - Moroccan Oil has transformed my hair into a more manageable, shiny and healthy looking hair. Just apply a dime size amount to towel dried hair and style as usual, you will see results immediately. Not to mention, it makes my hair dry so much faster!

4. Bumble and bumble Grooming Creme - A lot of hair products I've tried make my hair feel sticky and weighs my curls down. This creme leaves my hair feeling soft and bouncy! I love it!

5. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye - I've been using this products for a few months now and it truly works! I've tried a few other products that leave me with no results but this creme makes my eyes look refreshed the next day. It will definitely remain in my bedtime skin regime!

6. ALTERNA Anti-Aging Dry Shampoo - This is a great fix for second (or third) day hair. It absorbs excess oil, product buildup and impurities.It leaves your hair smelling refreshed and clean! I've tried a lot of different dry shampoo's since I can't wash my hair everyday and this one is definitely the winner.

7. Tweezerman - I was hesitant to buy because of the price but I'm glad I gave in! These grab the tiny stubborn hairs that I could never get before. And I love the purple color :)
